Picture this: a group of colleagues working together under pressure—solving puzzles, completing physical and mental challenges, and earning the crucial parts they need to complete their final mission. The task isn’t simply to win… it’s to make a difference.
Throughout the event, teams face a series of fun but challenging activities designed to test their strengths:
Problem-solving challenges that unlock essential bike parts
Creative puzzles where teams must think quickly under pressure
Communication tasks that reveal leadership and collaboration skills
Each challenge reflects real workplace strengths, encouraging participants to work to their abilities and support one another. The better teams work together, the faster they earn what they need to complete the ultimate goal: building a brand-new bicycle for a child.
The highlight of the experience comes at the finish line. As teams tighten the final bolts and check every safety detail, they realise this isn’t just a fun challenge—they’re changing a child’s life.
All completed bikes are donated to The Pyjama Foundation, a Brisbane charity dedicated to helping children in foster care through mentoring, learning support, and positive experiences. The moment teams hand over the bikes is uplifting, emotional, and incredibly rewarding. It’s teamwork making a real impact.
✔ Meaningful impact – Every activity contributes to something bigger
✔ Stronger teamwork – Teams rely on collaboration, problem-solving, and trust
✔ Lots of fun – High-energy challenges bring laughter and excitement
✔ Real donation – Bikes go directly to children who truly need them
It’s the perfect balance of corporate learning and community giving.
Workplaces thrive when teams feel united and inspired. The Charity Bike Build brings colleagues together for a hands-on experience where teamwork creates a real, lasting outcome. It’s not just a team-building event—it’s a reminder that when we work together, we can achieve more than we ever imagined.
